George Triadafilopoulos, MD, DSc, is a clinical professor of medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, at Stanford University School of Medicine. He attended the Aristotelian University Medical School, Thessaloniki, Greece, where he received his MD, summa cum laude. After residency in internal medicine at the Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals, Detroit, Michigan, he completed a clinical and research fellowship in gastroenterology at Boston University Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Triadafilopoulos holds memberships in several professional associations. He is a fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. He has served as a reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals and is editor-in-chief emeritus of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Triadafilopoulos has published >350 original and review articles on topics, such as C. difficile colitis, esophageal motility disorders, gastroesophageal reflux, Barrett’s esophagus and cancer, colon polyps, and novel gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures and techniques.
